I questioned whether or not to post this blog. After much debate I feel like I would not be the leader that I strive to be if I don’t talk about difficult issues. Parents, I am posting a link about a young man who took his own life because he felt like it was the only way to stop the pain he was experiencing from being bullied. This article has solutions that we as parents, coaches, and leaders in our community can use if we know someone who is being bullied. Our staff will be talking to the kids regarding this article and really encouraging our athletes to take a stand against bullies. I truly feel the power of purple can help the youth of today cope with difficult issues. I would love to host a free cheerleading clinic for kids to come learn how to be a better cheerleader, but more importantly how to become a better leader and help STOP BULLYING! Let me know your thoughts.
